Stephen K. Levey joined the firm in 1998 and has been a principal since 2002. After law school graduation, Steve clerked for the Honorable Irma Raker in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland. After the clerkship and prior to joining the firm, Steve’s practice included the representation of buyers and sellers of commercial real estate and small businesses, and lenders and borrowers in connection with loan transactions, as well as litigation. Steve has extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases for both landlords and tenants. Steve’s practice is primarily focused on representing landlords in lease negotiations with anchor and national retailers, grocery stores and restaurants, many of which are located within mixed-use developments or redevelopments. As these transactions often are complex, intricate and time sensitive, Steve is able to apply his experience, attention to detail and creativity to offer practical and efficient solutions. Steve has conducted several seminars for the American Bar Association regarding the intricacies of restaurant leasing. Steve received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1989 and graduated with Honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1992. He is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and in the State and Federal Courts in Maryland.
