Matthew Davis’s practical approach to negotiating and Midwestern sensibilities gets deals done. Prior to joining HSPH in January of 2014, Matt gained valuable experiencing working as in-house counsel with The Cafaro Company, developer, owner and manager of more than 30,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate. Matt utilizes his extensive experience drafting and negotiating leases and other related documents in representing landlords and tenants in various types of commercial properties including retail, strip, lifestyle and mixed-use centers.

Matt received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in 2009 and, prior to graduating Cum Laude from Baldwin-Wallace College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Political Science, was named all Ohio Athletic Conference as well as academic all Ohio Athletic Conference, ESPN and COSIDA football player. Both a jock and an academic, Matt enjoys golfing, playing with his beabull, Monty, and exploring the DMV when not in the office. He currently resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his fiancée.
